Holtville Game

Parents and Students,
I hope everyone is having a restful and relaxing Sunday. I know the outcome of the game on friday was not what we wanted but my hat goes off to the band. Not only were our students a class act throughout the game but they had a great performance Friday night, and I am happy with where we are leading into our competition in a couple weeks. This week we play Holtville which will be another division game for our Childersburg Tigers. The band will leave the school at 4:45 for this game. Here are our announcements for the week:

• This weeks game is away against Holtville High School. Please click on the link for the itinerary: Holtville Game.
• The band will attend the Chief Ladiga Marching Band Competition on Saturday October 11. I should have an itinerary for this event this week. We are still in need of several chaperones if you would like to chaperone this event please let me know ASAP.
• Please remember our Fruit Fundraiser. Money and order forms are due on October 13th.
• Our next band booster meeting is next thursday October 9th.

Sylacauga Week!!!

Parents and Students,
Sylacauga Week is here. I know the students are looking forward to a great game on Friday against our rivals down the road. I would like to thank all of those that have signed up to work this weeks concession stand. However we could use all of the help we can get so if you have not signed up for a concession stand please consider coming and helping this Friday. Here are the announcements for the week:

• Don't forget about the Fruit Fundraiser. All fruit money and order forms are due on October 13. Each student is asked to sell at least $150 dollars in fruit.
• On Saturday October 11 the Childersburg Band will compete in the Chief Ladiga Marching Competition. The students are getting very excited and we would not be able to compete in this event without the help of our band parents. That being said if you would like to Chaperone for us on this date please send me an email (JRogers@tcboe.org) no later than friday.
• This weeks game is a home game against Sylacauga. Here is the itinerary: Sylacauga Game.

Childersburg Bye Week

Good Afternoon,
First and foremost thank you to all those parents who helped in the concession stand friday night, as well as to those who attended our booster meeting. Without your help and guidance the Childersburg Band would be at a great loss.
Believe it or not even with a bye week this week for football the Childersburg Band is as busy as ever. Here is our list of announcements for this week:

• Monday starts our Bands Fruit Fundraiser. Students will have one month to fundraise and are encouraged to sell at least $150 dollars in fruit to help with there Fundraising requirement. All money and forms are due on October 13th.
• Tuesday September 16th the band will be traveling to Munford High School for the Talladega County Band Directors Association's Marching Band Showcase. Here is the Marching Showcase Itinerary. Since our uniforms will be getting dry cleaned due to the rain on friday we will be wearing our band shirt and khaki shorts with tennis shoes.
• Friday September 19th the band will be traveling during school to both elementary schools to host a pep rally. Here is the Elementary Pep Band Itinerary. Students will need money for lunch.
• We do not have a game or rehearsal on Friday.

Concession Stand

• Chick-Fil-A is a go
• Band is able to prepurchase sandwich
• Good Ole Boys is donating a brand new fryer to the band boosters.
• Is not delivered this week but they are donating truck for this friday 
• Good Ole Boys also donated 41 packs of hot dog buns for this week game.
• Need concession help for the away side stands.
• Tina Brown and Samantha Garret will help start up away side. 

Marching Band Competition

• Marching Band Competition is October 11th
• The Band will need chaperones
• The Marching Band Competition is a all day event

Fruit Fundraiser 

• Starts is September 15th 
• Ends on 10th 
• Each Student is asked to raise $150

Home Game!!!

Parents and Students,
Its hard to believe, but after three great away games to start off the season the childersburg tigers finally come home for the first time. Here is the Gameday Itinerary. I look forward to seeing everyone at our first game under the lights of John Cox Stadium. Here are several other band announcements:

• This thursday is our September booster meeting. The meeting starts at 6:00 in the band room.
• Today and tomorrow students will be sent home with updated band account information. Please note the total amount due by December 20th. 
• Be on the look out for our fruit order form. The fruit fundraiser will start soon.
